You do not need to be staying at the resort to enjoy breakfast at The Terrace. If you are exploring Nusa Penida, staying elsewhere or finishing a morning yoga class nearby, you can make a relaxed breakfast stop in Ped and choose from the restaurant’s current menu.

The Terrace is part of Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort, but it welcomes non-resident visitors. Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 to 11:00 am. Here is how to plan a visit and what you might find on the menu.

Finding The Terrace in Ped

The restaurant is within Deep Roots in Ped. When you arrive at the resort, check in with the front office and ask the team to direct you to The Terrace. If you are coming from another part of the island, allow time for your journey and check the route before you set out.

The Terrace is a calm place to pause over a meal. You can come just for breakfast; you do not need a room booking or a yoga reservation to dine. If you are unsure about directions or whether a particular arrangement is available, contact the team before travelling.

What is on the breakfast menu?

The current menu brings together familiar breakfast favourites and dishes with Indonesian flavours. Depending on what you feel like, you could look for:

  • Tropical fruit salad with seasonal fruit and cinnamon-honey yoghurt.
  • Smashed avocado toast with two poached eggs and sourdough.
  • Shakshuka with eggs, tomato and onion, served with sourdough.
  • Nasi Goreng Penida with rice, vegetables, chicken satay, a fried egg and pickled vegetables; the menu also lists a vegetarian option.

The menu also includes fruit bowls, French toast, eggs Benedict, a chicken wrap and Mie Goreng Penida. These examples reflect the menu available when this guide was prepared. Dishes and ingredients may change, so check the latest Terrace menu before your visit.

Menu prices are shown in Indonesian rupiah. The current menu notes that government tax and service charge apply. Review the menu and confirm the final amount with the restaurant when ordering. If you have dietary or ingredient questions, ask the team about the dish and how it is prepared.

Make breakfast part of your morning

A breakfast stop can fit around a morning on the island without turning into a full-day plan. Come in for a leisurely meal, or make it a pause between activities. If you have visited The Leaf Yoga Shala, The Terrace is another place within Deep Roots where you can sit down for food; breakfast is a separate purchase and is not included with a yoga class.

Opening hours can help you plan: breakfast runs from 7:00 to 11:00 am, while the restaurant is open daily until 10:00 pm. If you are coming later in the day, check the current menu and opening information rather than assuming breakfast dishes are available outside breakfast hours.

Before you set out

Check the Terrace page and current menu for the latest hours and food options. Ask the team directly about any dietary requirements, ingredient substitutions or arrangements that matter to your visit. Availability can vary, and the online menu is a guide to what the restaurant offers rather than a guarantee that every dish is available at every service.

If you are looking for breakfast in Ped, Nusa Penida, The Terrace welcomes you to stop in whether you are staying at Deep Roots or elsewhere. Find the resort, ask the front office for directions, then take your time choosing from the menu.
