    Goa Giri Putri Temple

Pura Goa Giri Putri cave temple is located on the northeastern tip of Nusa Penida Island. It's about a 30-minute drive from Deep Roots. “Goa” means cave, “giri” means hill, “putri” stands for “princess” and it is said to refer to the feminine qualities of a god. The Goa Giri Putri temple is housed within an impressive cave. It is the largest cave on Nusa Penida where many Balinese travel from Bali specifically to complete the purification process, which includes five stations inside the cave as well as the initial ceremony before entering the cave.
