Kelingking Beach is a well-known attraction on Nusa Penida. The scenery is truly breathtaking. Kelingking Beach, also known as T-Rex Bay, got its name because the rock there resembles the dinosaur's backbone that would dip into the water. A lucky few might even spot Manta rays from the cliff's edge. It's about a 35-minute drive to the Manta Point from Deep Roots.

In the south-west corner of Nusa Penida, you'll find Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong. Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong are known locally as Pasih Uug, which translates to "broken beach" in Balinese. From Deep Roots, a trip to Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong takes about 45 minutes by car. Other well-known spots on Nusa Penida include Kelingking Beach, Crystal Bay, and Broken Beach, as well as Angel's Billabong.

Manta Point is a popular dive spot on Nusa Penida because Manta rays can be found there throughout almost the entire year. Our expert guide will help you spot sharks, macro, marbled rays, eagle rays, sting rays, and molas among other marine creatures.The bay is not more than 12 meters deep, and the shallowest point is at 8 meters. Manta rays frequently cruise between the surface and 10 meters, making this a great site for discovery dives. It's about a 50-minute drive to the Manta Point from Deep Roots.

Pura Goa Giri Putri cave temple is located on the northeastern tip of Nusa Penida Island. It's about a 30-minute drive from Deep Roots. “Goa” means cave, “giri” means hill, “putri” stands for “princess” and it is said to refer to the feminine qualities of a god. In the cave itself, you will see a few shrines dedicated to females deities from Hindu, Balinese, and Chinese religions. And “pura” means temple. The Goa Giri Putri temple is housed within an impressive cave. It is the largest cave on Nusa Penida where many Balinese travel from Bali specifically to complete the purification process, which includes five stations inside the cave as well as the initial ceremony before entering the cave. The water that flows from the spring at Goa Giri Putri Temple is considered holy.
