Staying at a guesthouse, villa or another hotel on Nusa Penida? You can still join a yoga class at The Leaf Yoga Shala. Non-resort guests and walk-in visitors are welcome, so you can make time for a practice without booking a room or joining a retreat.

The Leaf sits in the tropical gardens of Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort in Ped. Its open-air shala gives you a place to step away from your sightseeing plans, roll out a mat and follow a guided class. Here is how to plan your visit.

Can I join if I’m staying somewhere else?

Yes. Classes welcome resort guests and non-residents, including people visiting for just one session. You do not need an accommodation booking to attend.

Walk-ins are welcome. If a particular class is an important part of your day, contact the team beforehand to confirm the current session and availability. That is especially useful if you are travelling across the island or coming with friends.

Choose a morning or afternoon class

Group yoga runs daily from 8–9 am and 5–6 pm, with guided meditation from 9–9:30 am. All times are local Bali time.

The morning session can work well if you want to practise before heading out for the day. If you would like a longer visit, the morning yoga and meditation option brings the two sessions together. Alternatively, the 5 pm class leaves your morning free.

Class styles vary through the week. The timetable includes sessions such as Hatha, Mobility, Restorative and Deep Stretch, alongside more active options. Check The Leaf timetable and current prices before choosing your day, rather than assuming every session has the same pace.

If you are new to yoga or unsure which session to try, tell the team about your experience and ask which class would suit you. You do not need to arrive knowing the names of poses.

Drop in once or choose a class pass

A single yoga class costs Rp170,000. A three-class pass is Rp475,000 and a five-class pass is Rp765,000. These prices include tax and service, and class passes are valid for 30 days from purchase.

For a short stay, a single class lets you try the shala without committing to several visits. If you already know you want to practise more often, check your travel dates against the timetable before choosing a pass.

Guided meditation is Rp100,000, or you can choose morning yoga plus meditation for Rp250,000. The two-session option suits a morning when you have time to stay after yoga instead of rushing straight to your next activity.

Confirm current prices and pass conditions with the team before purchasing. If you are arranging a visit for several people, ask about availability for everyone in your group.

What should I bring?

Mats and equipment are supplied, so there is no need to fit a yoga mat into your island luggage. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, and bring drinking water. Showers and a changing room are available.

As a practical suggestion, allow a little extra time before the session to find reception and settle in. If you have a question about the class, ask before it starts so you can focus on the practice once you are on the mat.

Finding The Leaf when you arrive

Come to Deep Roots Dive & Yoga Resort in Ped and ask at resort reception for directions to The Leaf Yoga Shala. The shala is within the resort gardens; reception is the simplest starting point if you have not visited before.

Allow enough time for your journey from your accommodation. If you are unsure of the location, contact the team before setting out. For any transport or other resort services, ask about arrangements and charges separately.

Make a morning of your visit

If you would like breakfast afterwards, The Terrace Restaurant at Deep Roots also welcomes non-residents and serves breakfast from 7–11 am. That leaves time after morning yoga, or after yoga and meditation, to browse the menu and choose something to eat.

Breakfast is a separate purchase for visiting non-residents. Check The Terrace breakfast menu for current options and charges. You can come just for yoga, or add breakfast if it suits your plans.

Prefer a private session?

If you would rather discuss an individual practice or a different time, ask about private yoga. Private classes and workshops are available on demand; confirm the instructor, timing, format and price before making plans. A request is not a confirmed booking.

Plan your class at The Leaf

Start with The Leaf timetable and current prices, then choose a day that fits your stay. For questions about a session or availability, email hello@deeproots-penida.com or contact the team through the existing details on the yoga page.

You are welcome whether you are staying at Deep Roots or elsewhere on the island. Pick the session that suits your visit, come to resort reception, and let the team show you the way to the shala.
